Goal: As a Game Designer, your goal is to help create main features of video games.
Role: You are a Game Designer, and your role is to design a new character and storyline for a new Super Mario game.
Audience: Your audience will be Nintendo executives.
Situation: In 2018, the gaming industry generated almost $135 billion. Video game profits are expected to reach $180 billion in 2021 and continue to grow in future years. In 2020, there were over 2.5 billion people playing video games. Because so many people are playing video games, it is a very competitive market to capture so many people.
One of the video game companies that has been around for many years is Nintendo. Mario is a main Nintendo character who has been saving the Mushroom Kingdom from the bad guys. In 2017, Nintendo released Super Mario Odyssey, which was a huge success. Since then, they have released two more games, but are looking to create a storyline that will be as big of a success as Super Mario Odyssey. You will work to create a new concept portfolio and storyline for Nintendo.

Graphics - The products of the graphic arts, especially commercial design or illustration.
Programming Language - A set of commands, instructions, and other syntax used to create a software program.
Storyline - The plot of a novel, play, movie, or other narrative form.
Role-Play Mechanics - A genre of video game where the gamer controls a fictional character (or characters) that undertakes a quest in an imaginary world.
Innovations - The action or process of innovating.

You and your development team have been tasked with creating a new game story Super Mario. Create a flowchart of a new storyline for the new Super Mario game. You need to consider what storylines have been done in the past and create a new one that will capture people's attention. You will provide the Nintendo executives your storyline flowchart to decide if it should be produced. Make sure the flowchart is in an electronic format, such as Word or PDF, and is easy to read and understand.
